Dr. Johana Hauer

A Boston native, Dr. Johana Hauer earned her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College where she was a part of the Division I Women’s Rowing Club. She went on to obtain her Doctor in Dental Medicine (DMD) with honors from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed a rigorous residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Connecticut. Thereafter, Dr. Hauer earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and a two-year certificate in General Surgery.

Upon returning to Boston, Dr. Hauer assumed the position of Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and a team doctor at Boston Dental’s Downtown Crossing location. Board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Hauer blends advanced surgical techniques with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Her ability to connect and empathize with patients ensures a comfortable surgical journey with optimal results.
