Visiting Your Dentist
During Covid-19 Pandemic

The safety of our patients and staff is our number one priority at Boston Dental Clinic.

We are here for our valued patients, throughout and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic. We have always maintained high sterilization standards, and following independent research on the Covid-19 virus and how it spreads, we have implemented additional disinfection measures and protective gear to further ensure the safety of our patients, details of which are included below.

We will be fully staffed from
May 18th
, and onwards.

Please book an appointment via email as we have a number of patients who require assistance. Should you need to reschedule, please provide 48 hours’ notice.

There are currently only a limited number of available dental providers operating in the state so dentists from other clinics may also treat their patients in our controlled environment.

We have devoted one-day a week to treating emergency patients who are potentially carrying the Covid-19 virus. For this, the whole facility is dedicated to only one patient at a time to eliminate any possibility of spreading.

WHAT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ARE BOSTON DENTAL CLINIC TAKING?

Additional sterilization

  • Our air filtration system has a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) rating of 15, which guarantees the elimination of impurities.
  • A UV BIO-WALL Quattro, an in-duct air purification and disinfection system, treats the entire volume of air flowing over it in one pass, destroying up to 99.9% of the biological and chemical contaminants with UV-C/ UV-V light.
  •
  • Additional disinfection using UVD Robots eliminates harmful pathogens and superbugs on surfaces and in the air, including the Coronavirus (caused by Covid-19) with ultraviolet light. Read more here.
  •
  • Cavicide surface disinfectant spray is regularly used and is effective against TB, HBV, HCV, hydrophilic and lipophilic viruses, bacteria, and fungi. Read more here.

Wearing protective gear

  • We have invested in the most sophisticated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including N95 masks, eye goggles, face shields, and overalls from 3M and Dupont. We are grateful to the public health program that helped us obtain part of these important items.
  •
  • Intra Oral Isolation isolates the tooth using a rubber dam, and controls moisture and microbes throughout the procedure.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED A DENTAL EMERGENCY?

Anything that affects your daily activity and causes you constant bother, whether it’s something as slight as a mild sensitivity, to a broken tooth or a painful area in the mouth. Please find more information here.

DOES MY INSURANCE COVER BOSTON DENTAL CLINIC?

Boston Dental is contracted by most private insurance companies, and we adhere to their fee schedules. Boston Dental prepares and files dental insurance claims electronically and we will provide a copy for your records, should you need to follow up with your provider. Please note that processing claims can take anywhere from three to 15 days.

Given the high volume of appointments we are managing, we request that you make your payment in-line with your insurance fees on the day of your treatment.
