What To Expect

It’s recommended that you get a regular cleaning before the procedure to ensure the best results and start with a clean surface.  Before the Zoom procedure starts, your gums and lips will be covered for protection. The whitening gel is applied and used in tandem with the chairside lamp which helps remove any stains more efficiently.  You’ll stay like this for 15 minutes under the light, three times in a row, for a grand total of 45 minutes. After your treatment is done, a sensitivity paste will be applied to the teeth to help reduce the discomfort that can accompany tooth whitening.

After Treatment

When you leave the office you’ll be given a touch-up kit that you can use at home.  Remember that continuing to consume coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco will encourage staining and reverse the effects of your Zoom treatment.  Staying away from these and other staining foods will help maintain your bright white smile. Whitening toothpaste can also be used to extend the life of your smile.
